Minnesota Military Family Assistance Centers

Military Family Assistance Centers are dispersed throughout the state to offer resources, referrals & support to all Service Members and their families.

Family Assistance Centers (FACs) are confidential and available to ALL branches regardless of status. Office hours are from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. After hour support is available. See our locations below or call us toll free at 1-888-234-1274.

Crisis Intervention
American Red Cross Information
Local resources for those in need of counseling - financial and/or personal crisis

Exceptional Family Member
Active duty service members enroll in the EFMP when they have an immediate family member with a physical, emotional, developmental, or intellectual disorder requiring specialized services so their needs can be considered in the military personnel assignment process.

Financial Resources & Management
Resources and information are available for eligible service members and their immediate family needing help resolving financial issues.

Military Parent & Youth Resources
Information on military child and youth events, Military Kids Club locations and tutoring resources.

Emergency FAC Services
FACs perform well-being checks for families affected by a State of Emergency event per State and Military State Family Program Deputy guidance.

DEERS/ID Card Locations
Office locations and contact information. We also provide information on required documents for DEERS.

Local Legal Aid offices and JAG contact information

Tricare
Information on Tricare plans, costs, contact information and local Tricare providers within your area.

Military & Community Resources
Information and referrals on military and community resources such as: counseling, housing/shelter, local food shelves, county assistance, finances, and veteran resources.

Deployment Support
FACs reach out to families of a deployed service member on a monthly basis to check on well-being and possible assistance. Deployments can be stressful and the FACs are available to provide assistance and support before, during and after deployments.
