Hunting Application (only available during season)

Public Archery Deer Hunt

The public archery hunt has taken place on Camp Ripley since 1954 and allows the general public the opportunity to hunt at Camp Ripley. Hunters may apply for one of two, two-day hunts in October.

Disabled Veterans' Deer Hunt

The Disabled Veterans' Deer Hunt takes place annually during the second week of October and runs concurrently with the Service Member Archery Hunt. Hunters are partnered with a volunteer, placed in mobile blinds throughout Camp Ripley and allowed to use shotguns with slugs. Meals and lodging are provided to the hunters.

Service member Hunt Opportunities

Hunting opportunities for currently-serving or retired members of the military are available at both Camp Ripley and the Arden Hills Army Training Site. These opportunities are for deer or turkeys and take place during the normal state season for the species.

Trolling for Troops

Your opportunity to get a chance to fish with some of the best anglers in the Midwest. Anglers like the National Guard Professional Angling Team, well-known professional fisherman and others will guide a Disabled Vet and a recently-deployed Minnesota National Guard Soldier or Airman for a day on Mille Lacs Lake or the Mississippi River.
